Elly McDonald | Writer - My professional writing career started at age 17, when Chris Forsyth, then editor of Nation Review (an Australian independent weekly newspaper), commissioned me to write film reviews. At age 18 I began my career as a rock music journalist, writing regularly for mainstream publications such as The Australian newspaper and for specialist music publications such…

  • https://ellymcdonaldwriter.com/journalism-testimonials/ Journalism testimonials | Elly McDonald - I met Elly in 1979, in my capacity as founding editor of the rock magazine RAM. Of the many writers who appeared in the magazine during my seven years as editor, I regard Elly as amongst the most outstanding. Her writing was always perceptive, it embodied the attitude that music could be more than satisfactory…

You might think I’ve posted weekly, or four times a month. In truth, I binge blog. I ignored good advice to keep my blog posts brief, visual, funny, gossip-filled and fortnightly. But I do feel my…

Freedom for Britain!” Jo Cox was a champion for Yorkshire. She also championed, across her career, children’s health and safety, worldwide, and multicultural…
  • https://ellymcdonaldwriter.com/2016/08/07/on-love-and-not-being-able-to-speak/ On love. And not being able to speak. | Elly McDonald - When I left London and came back to Australia I promised myself I’d return for a visit within 18 months. I needed to make myself this promise, or I wouldn’t have been able to leave the places, and the people, I loved. At almost precisely the 18-month mark, I booked a return Melbourne/London/Melbourne plane ticket…
  • https://ellymcdonaldwriter.com/2016/05/10/the-girl-with-the-glamorous-job/ The girl with the glamorous job | Elly McDonald - This week my geriatric father noticed the covered porch and decking area in my parents’ back yard is perfect to stage plays. “Our first challenge,” he announced, “is to identify an audience.” So it is with writing memoir pieces. Just as not even my brother-in-law is keen to watch McDonald family amateur theatrics, few can…

A great book! I wouldn't vote for Hillary if she gave me a million bucks. She is beyond scary and she will destroy our country, if elected. I think she'll lose.

  • Mark Wilke - Best there is!

This is far and away the best window cleaner I've ever used. Use it at home and in the car. I literally get no streaks on the glass using this product. Spray it on, wipe it off and the glass is spotless and streak-less!

  • William J. Shryer - Hype

This is truly amazing that such an old ingredient can still be marketed as something new. Folks, this is plain old benadryl used in just about every night time cold OTC imaginable. It's also the most common nasal decongestant in all of the OTC medications. If you want to save money ask your pharmacist for what is the cheapest diphenhydramine they sell.

  • Sue Smith - Good ideas to supplement regular treatment for cancer

My husband was given a copy of this book when he first had cancer and we both read it all. It had some good ideas but you still need to follow the doctor's advise for treatment. The one thing that he still uses, (over 14 years later), is the Jason Winters tea that the author introduced us to. We have since purchased several more books to give to friends going through the same problems.

  • Amazon Customer - Believe it or not, I couldn't put it down! A must read!

If you work in any kind of manufacturing industry, this is a must read! A book about the theory of constraints doesn't sound like it would be interesting or fun to read but I couldn't put it down! My boss made me read it and I liked it so much I bought it to read again!

  • Patrick - other than that I love my civic

The only issue with this car is the third brake light cover hangs down. It's a design flaw, other than that I love my civic.

  • Frank Wolf - Excel 2010 Bible

It had virtually nothing on "IF" and "Embedded IF" statements. I don't know what else to say. So that's it.
