Massive Attack is certainly in my definitions the forefathers of the trip hop movement, or at least one of them. Music hasn't sounded as sensuous and dark at the same time as Massive Attack's music. I always been an admirer of their music for years but it wasn't until a year or two ago did I start buying their cds. "Blue Lines" was my first Massive Attack album. Although "Blue Lines" can't matched up to the gorgeousness of "Protection" or "Mezzanine", it certainly has become the imprint of trip hop music with its dark, brooding beats mixed with the seductive vocals of Shara Nelson and Andy Horace. What makes Massive Attack work so much is that they always construct an entire album on various genres of music from hip hop to reggae, fusing them to give us this gorgeous soundscape of laid back dance music. The best tracks on this cd? I have to say that the first three songs on "Blue Lines" is absolutely mind-blowing. I especially love the smooth hip hop grooves of "Blue Lines". And I thought Shara Nelson sounded her best on "Safe From Harm". A couple of songs on the album took a little longer to grow on me. "Blue Lines" certainly showed me that hip hop isn't always going to be like the predictable garbage I hear on the radio and see on MTV/VH1/BET. "Blue Lines" is an incredible album for all fans of trip hop music. I know I love it.
After just one month of taking both Serrapeptase and Nattokinase, my cycle was reduced from 7 to 3 days. I feel like skipping through a field of flowers...just like the women in those feminine protection commercials. I would strongly recommend anyone who has problems with fibroids, endometriosis, cysts and the like to give it a try.
The Earthrise series is about the resilience of the human spirit. Of reaching into the depths of yourself and pulling out victory when all seems lost. I look forward to reading the last of this series, "Earthfire".
